Come back often and look for new videos, pics and updates.Latest Updates05.19.09Well, this week was the longest wait for the shortest race! We traveled all the way to Lake City with high hopes. We had worked a lot on the car and we were sure it was ready. It started raining as soon as we got to the track so we waited for a couple of hours till it stopped and they could work on the track. The track cancelled the heat races so we had to start the feature based on what pill we drew. You guessed it...we started near the rear of the field! Matt had a great start coming to the green flag, and coming out of turn two he had such a run on the guy in front of him that he was left with little choice but to go to the high side. Well the car below him didn't see him and pushed up a little. Enough to catch Matt's tire and send him into a sharp right turn. He headed straight for the wall, slammed the wall, climbed the wall, and then rolled the car over on its lid. You have to watch the video, it was a wild ride. Matt was sore for a couple of days, but he is fine...the car...not so much! I'm glad we have a few weeks to get the 77 back together. Look for us at our next race at the Ocala speedway on June 12. |
